The VSBFA helps Virginia's start-up,
existing & prospective businesses through an extensive portfolio of financing programs. The Authority helps Virginia's financial institutions offer business loans that they might not be able to offer without assistance from this program. The VSBFA also offers grants to individual investors in qualifying small businesses. Finincing programs can provide:
* Direct loans for economic dev. projects
* Cash collateral and loan guanties to help banks lend to small businesses
* Microloans, child care loans, & investment grants to small businesses
* Cash collateral, loan guaranties, direct loans, and microloans for existing businesses, minority owned businesses, and tourism businesses
* A child care financing program for licensed child care centers & family-home providers
* Bond financing for small manufacturers & 501(c)3 non-profits

REBUILD VA SMALL BUSINESS GRANT PROGRAM
The Rebuild VA Grant Funds is a program to help small businesses
and non-profits whose normal operations were disrupted by COVID-19,
including restaurants, brick & mortar retail, exercise and fitness facilities,
personal care and personal grooming services, entertainment and
public amusement establishments and campgrounds. Businesses and
non-profits that are approved for a Rebuild VA grant may receive up to
3 times their average monthly eligible expenses up to a maximum of $10,000

The August meeting of the Scott County EDA will be held
on Wednesday, August 19th at 6pm in the board room of the
Scott County Administrative Offices located at 190 Beech
Street, Suite 201, in Gate City, VA. All meetings are open
to the public.
The August meeting of the Scott County Chamber of Commerce
will be held on Wednesday, August 12th, at 12:00 Noon at
Natural Tunnel State Park Shelter #5.
